Join us to make your very own jacket or coat using the Hovea pattern by Megan Nielsen. This is a two part workshop with the first class on Sunday 29th November and the second class on Sunday 6th December. The pattern is included in the class, please choose your size option when ordering.
On the first day, we will make the quilted fabric and start to cut out the pattern pieces. On the 6th of December, Elizabeth will talk you through the assembly and completion of your beautiful new jacket.
The Hovea is a loose fit, drop shoulder jacket and coat. The pattern features:
- multiple lengths (crop, hip and mid length)
- deep angled feature pockets
- unlined, fully lined or quilted
- belt or tie closures
There are many options to personalise your jacket, so the fabric is not included in the cost of the class. But don't forget you get 10% discount on fabric for the class if you purchase it in the shop.
Machines and cutting mats are provided as part of the class, as is tea and coffee. If you would prefer to use your own sewing machine, then please feel free to bring it too.
Parking is available close to the shop in the West Walls or Caldew Riverside car parks. Please feel free to drop of your machine and sewing kit at the shop before parking in the public car parks. The spaces outside the shop are limited and only for short stay customers.
Cancellation Policy
All workshops/classes must be pre-booked and paid for, either online - this can be done via the Superior Sewing Centre website - or in store at the point of sale by asking one of Superior Sewing Centre staff to help you.
All workshops and classes must be paid for in full when booking.
We are sorry but sometimes we have to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control. If this arises we will aim to give you 14 days (two weeks) notice, however a full refund of the workshop/class fee will be given in any eventuality where we have to cancel a workshop/class.
Superior Sewing Centre will not be held responsible for any other expenses in relation to a booking cancelled by Superior Sewing Centre.
If you need to cancel your workshop/class booking, we require a minimum 14 days (two weeks) notice prior to the workshop/class date for you to receive a refund (less £3 administration charge).
No refund can be given if less than 14 days (two weeks) notice is given.
No transfer forward of workshop/classes is allowed should you not be able to attend your original booked date. If you do not attend your original booked class and have not provided 14 days (two weeks) notice, the fee will not be refunded and your place in a future workshop/class will only be secured by a fresh booking and payment of fee.
If you cannot attend a workshop/class and wish to gift your place to another person, this may be allowed at the discretion of Superior Sewing Centre Management and provided that the workshop/class has already been paid for in full and the name of the new attendee is provided for insurance purposes.
