Join in with the Sewing Bee with our Quest Chest Competition
In your Quest Chest, you will find 3 x 1/2m of cotton fabric, 1m of trimming, thread and a sweet treat. Each box purchased gives you entry into the category of your choice in our Sewing bee Challenge. If you wish to enter more than one category, just purchase another box (or boxes). For those wishing to enter the Garment challenge you have 2m of dressmaking fabric instead of the cotton fabric.
For the challenges, you can include any amount of haberdashery in your project. This includes buttons, beads, interfacing, bondaweb, bag foam, stiffeners, ribbon, boning, threads, trims, bag hardware and straps, wadding and batting etc. Basically you can add anything except additional fabric, so be as creative as you like
Judging will take place on Saturday 12th of September. Your challenge entry/entries must be in the shop by noon on Friday 11th September.

The Transformation Challenge: Transform an existing garment of your choice into something different.
Dress Your Pet Challenge – Make an outfit for your pet. Your pet may be real or imaginary, have 4 legs or swim, it may even be a cuddly toy. We ask that you don’t bring live pets with the outfit! Animal welfare comes first
Make Something Quilted Challenge – Anything you like. You are permitted to add wadding/batting to your project
Make a Vessel Challenge. By vessel we mean something to put something in. This could be a bag, bowl, vase, pot, pouch or anything else that holds something
Make a Garment Challenge. Use a pattern, invent a pattern or just go rogue and make a garment. It can be for any occasion for adult or child.
